AWP 2026
All right. So here I am in cold cloudy rainy Baltimore after a five hour flight from warm cloudless sunny Los Angeles. This is actually my FIFTH AWP. My first, back in 2020 in San Antonio, occurred about a week before lockdown so you can imagine how that went.
This will be the FIRST AWP where I come with books for sale.
I’m sort of pulling double-duty—
For it is not by choice that I come to every AWP…though admittedly I do tend to enjoy getting out of town and hanging out with other writers and having a few beers etc etc.
I come here because I work as an admissions counselor for a Low Res MFA Program (Antioch University) and they essentially pay me to table the booth every year. Flight, hotel, food, they cover it all.
So why not?!
And the Antioch University booth is where you will find me.
It is booth number 1062.
I will be there—
Thursday: 9-1
Friday: 9-1
Saturday: 1-5
Come by, say hi, buy a book.
I’ll be selling them for $15/each or $25 for both.
I have an extremely limited supply, and even if you don’t buy a book come say hi anyway
Also excited that I’ll be meeting JunkMan Thursday afternoon. He’s one of my favorite subscribers and one of my favorite writers that I subscribe too.
With that said, if I go missing start with him.

I picked up both of these books. I’m looking forward to reading them.
Very pleased to meet an actual substack novelist. I've read both these books, both very good. Anyone who can write 300 pages is a superhero to me.
